After a great season in Zambia we have landed safely in England, ready to prep for baby #2!
While we normally choose our arrival and departure dates, this time the deadline for flying while pregnant chose for us. In just under 5 weeks we will be welcoming our second baby boy!

The next few months will look a little different for us. Joe leaves today for a quick trip to America.
As we will be flying straight back to Zambia at the end of the year he is taking 10 days now to see family, friends and connect with Churches in NY. While Joe is gone I’ll be holding down the fort with Oli while
getting scans and meeting with midwives ahead of the birth.
(and praying our second boy doesn’t come before Joe lands back in England!)

We have 3 months here, and outside of having a baby we are hoping to spend time with as many of our loved ones as possible, visiting with our partners and Churches and recruiting some Brits to come on a trip with us!

We are excited about also using this time to expand our financial support team! It’s something that is so vital to our ministry in Zambia, we literally couldn’t GO without being SENT. However over the last few years, with a natural drop off of funds and an increase of budget and needs (as we’ve added children and expanded our vision) we have found ourselves too often short on funds. We are hoping to ‘meet’ with as many people as possible over the next few months, either in person or over the phone. If you would be willing to talk with us, hear about our vision and our work and how you can be involved please let us know.
(Replying to this email is an easy way to reach us). We would be so excited to hear from you!

Here are  a few moments from our last few months:

Overland sets aside 2 weeks each year for our team to gather and sit under great teachers, worship together, share testimonies and deepen each of our vision. We get guests from all around the country and our missionaries do whatever it takes to come in from across the globe. Lilly is part of the team who pulls all of the logistics of these weeks together. It’s always chaotic and a lot of work, but one of the most fruitful and rewarding roles we hold.

Part of our jobs is to ensure our staff, short term missions teams and advanced training students safely get to and from hard to reach locations. Sometimes it looks like organizing drivers, trucks and public transport, sometimes it looks like taking a trip as a family, driving 10 hours each way so Joe can drive the team home in a truck.

Construction has just begun at one of our newest logistical bases. Joe was part of a small team that drove 16 hours to reach the Zambezi base and spend time training local workers and coming alongside an incredible family who are pioneering this new location. Overland has a great relationship with the Chief of this region and we are so excited to see ministry grow and flourish here, starting at this base.

It felt like our time in Zambia flew by, but it was incredibly busy and productive. We are part of an awesome team, based at Rapid 14 and serving logistically to ensure our missionaries are able to effectively locate and minister to remote regions and people groups around the world. We love our work, and feel so honoured that we get to have a hand in so much happening across the mission field. To see what the Overland Missions team is doing worldwide check out our website:

Thank you for taking the time to read our update. We appreciate you, our team, across the globe.
We love hearing from you so please feel free to ask us anything, we are so grateful when we hear from you with updates and ways we can pray for you.

With love, the Colucci’s!
