Stay Curious

By

I was recently driving and saw a sign that said ‘Stay Curious’. I felt that God was speaking through this natural sign on the side of a building to my heart in a supernatural way. Rousing my curiosity regarding who He is and what He is capable of. Stretching the limits of my own imagination and creating a hunger deep within.

Curiosity is having a strong desire to learn or know something. Curious people often actively seek out challenges and new experiences to broaden their horizons. They may not need to know but they want to, and this drives their actions. As I thought about this, I considered the bigness of God, the ways he has led me over the years and the times He has surprised me.

Curiosity, when directed toward discovering God’s truths and understanding His ways, can lead to growth, wisdom, and a deeper relationship with Him. I want this!!  The opposite to curiosity is described as uninterested, indifferent, or apathetic.  I never want to be described by any of these words concerning my pursuit of God.  How amazing is it that we get to spend our lives getting to know the one who loved us first, almighty God.  As I have grown closer to God, I realise there is still so much of Him and his will yet to be discovered.  We don’t have to figure it all out on our own.  God takes us on a journey of discovery each and every day and as we remain curious in our relationship with Him.

‘Then with a deep longing you will seek me and require me as a vital necessity and you will find me when you search for me with all of your heart.’

Jeremiah 29:13

We will find Him as we search.  As we take off apathy and indifference and wholeheartedly with a pure heart go to His word, seek him in prayer He will answer.
