Terms & Conditions

Family Church is committed to doing all we can to ensure the safety of those attending our events.  The following terms and conditions are set out to make sure you, your friends and your family are able to attend our venues knowing that the appropriate steps have been taken.  Our venues undergo frequent cleaning, specifically before and after an event.

Events with an age restriction

Some of our events are for those over a certain age.  This will be the case where there is no provision of a children’s programme and the event is aimed at older attendees.  Although ordinarily, we would love for you to bring your children, places at our events are limited due to social distancing requirements, so this may not be possible at this time.  Please check the details for your event to make sure you are aware of the restriction.  Those attending must meet the minimum age requirement.

COVID-19 Symptoms and Precautions

You must not attend a Family Church event if you have, or have been diagnosed with COVID-19.  You must not attend if you are displaying, or have displayed in the last 10 days, any COVID-19 symptoms.  COVID-19 symptoms include fever, high temperature, persistent coughing, breathing difficulties, shortness of breath and loss of taste or smell.  You should not attend if you believe that you have been near someone who has been displaying any of these symptoms.

You must not attend if you have travelled abroad in the last 10 days prior to the event, to a country where it is required that you isolate on your return to the UK.

You must not attend if you have been advised by a medical professional to shield at this time, or if you have been told or advised to isolate in response to someone in your household or bubble testing positive to COVID-19.

Attending a Family Church event

Our venues look a little different at the moment.  We have implemented several health and safety measures which are designed to encourage good hygiene and social distancing.   Attendees should adhere to any one-way systems in place, and follow instructions given by our hosting teams.  Please listen to the hosts and be patient as we work to manage the numbers in the building.

Hand sanitiser is widely available in all of our venues.  It should be used on arrival and frequently throughout the event.

Attendees should maintain social distancing at all times whilst in the building, in accordance with current government guidelines.  There may be floor markings to assist with this.

When inside a place of worship, you can only interact with 6 people from multiple households or two households of any number.

Wearing a face covering is mandatory in law for most of our venues, as they are deemed to be Places of Worship.  Therefore all attendees will need to wear a face-covering whilst in the venue, unless they have a medical condition that forms part of the Government’s exemption list.  For more information please go to https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own#when-you-do-not-need-to-wear-a-face-covering.

Please note that those leading the event are exempt from wearing face coverings when speaking and/or leading worship. Those people will still be required to wear face coverings at all other times whilst in the venue.

Participating during the event

Singing and raising your voice is not currently permitted indoors under Government guidelines.  If there is praise and worship at an indoor event, we invite you to listen to the worship team and allow them to minister to you whilst you receive from God. If you are at an outdoor service, you are allowed to sing as long as social distancing is maintained from those not in your household.

Refreshments may not be available so you should bring your own bottled drink and make sure you take it home with you afterwards.   Toilet facilities will be available but these may look different to normal in order to ensure social distancing.   You may have to queue to access these.

Some areas within our venues are now out of bounds in order to maintain one-way systems, social distancing and to maintain cleaning routines.

All personal belongings should be taken home at the end of an event.  There may or may not be rubbish bins available and if not, all rubbish should be taken home to be disposed of.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us to keep each other safe.  You can find more information about our response to COVID-19 along with some frequently asked questions by visiting our COVID-19 response page:  https://family.church/covid19-response/
