Revelation 1:8, NIV “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” |
In today’s text we are reminded that Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end of all things. The One who lives outside of time and space as we know it. He eternally exists, as does His rule and reign. He is the only one worthy to carry the name ‘Almighty’! Jesus is indeed all mighty and is mighty in all things. When you pray to Him you do not pray to a God who knows limitation or lack in any way, rather a God who is mighty to answer your prayers and to meet all your needs. Be encouraged today that Jesus is not ‘some-mighty’ but ‘all-mighty’, and when you call on Him to save you He is mighty to save! Nothing is too big for Him, and no problem you may be experiencing can match, rival, or defeat Him. We must always be careful not to ‘normalize’ Him – that is, to bring Him down and make Him just like us – but rather we are to ever lift our eyes in awe of who He truly is. You see, if you make Him to be just like you then He will be limited to only be able to do the things you are able to do. Rather, we should always in our hearts see Him high and lifted up, seated in His majesty, ruling and reigning over all things; a Saviour King to whom every other thing must bow its knee because He is Jesus the Almighty! So today let the Almighty Jesus out of any nice little box you may have packed Him into and allow Him to be who He truly is. Then you also can experience oceans of impossibility parting, miracle provision released, giants falling and situations supernaturally turned around, just as the people that followed Him before you have. He is timeless, matchless, unrivalled and unequalled. Jesus is the Almighty One eternally for everyone including you today! Worship Him. |
